Police are investigating after a man was robbed and stabbed in Clermont County.

Pierce Township police said they were called to the 1200 block of Ohio Pike about 5:45 p.m. Sunday.

Officers said that when they arrived they found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was taken to UC Medical Center.

The extent of the victim’s injuries was not released and his condition was not known.

The victim’s identity was also not released.

Police said the suspect approached the victim, who was allegedly selling counterfeit jewelry out of his car. An altercation ensued and the victim was stabbed, they said.

Officers said the suspect stole the man’s merchandise and car.

Passersby called 911.

Investigators have not released any suspect information. They did not say what was taken in the incident.
